I think that the other benefit of new media, like a podcast, is the captive audience. I don't bother skipping past the ads on Leo's shows, because they are weaved in with the content. On television, I fast forward past all the commercials since I never watch anything live, except sports. That is why it is surprising that the networks haven't embraced internet streaming a bit more (see the whole Hulu/Boxee fiasco). It is just a matter of time till daily papers and magazines are rare and the usual consumption of this information will be electronic. I think waiting till a certain time to watch a show will seem so antiquated in the near future. There will be no more scanning the channels to see what is on you will simply select the content you enjoy. This will allow superior ad targeting of the audience. Leo has it right, old media is dead.
